Join our team
WBFV is an innovative nonprofit based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our mission is to provide veterans a path for restoring overall health and well being by getting them on the water with opportunities for sailing instruction and experience and learning new skills through wooden boat restoration.
Our culture at WBFV is something that we have worked diligently to create and maintain. We are high-functioning, dedicated individuals, and expect the same of those who join our team. We are in the business of changing lives. This takes ordinary individuals willing to do extraordinary work. Our program is dynamic and constantly evolving which requires forward thinking individuals willing to work together as a team to do whatever it takes to get the job done. With a sound emphasis on flexibility, we have established clear internal guidelines to make sure that all team members stay on track and connected. The WBFV team engages in monthly shared experiences to emphasize the importance of team building, and our culture is one that supports and develops personal growth.
Core Beliefs and Values
Wooden Boats for Veterans will be guided by our nation’s core beliefs and values memorialized in the constitution, for which so many have sacrificed to defend, to prioritize and drive all philanthropic activity. These core values are our guiding principles at WBFV. We expect of ourselves and you to display a passion and integrity, stay self-motivated, and responsible.
