Terry emigrated to America with his parents from Ireland and grew up aboard boats in Sausalito, CA. He graduated from St. Ignatius in the Sunset and later from the Naval Academy's Class of 1988. He served as a naval aviator and aeronautical engineering duty officer in his 28-year career, and flew over 1,000 hours in the F-14 Tomcat, finishing as commander of an MQ-9 unit in China Lake CA. Terry has held significant management responsibilities in the aerospace industry as well, and is completing an executive leadership program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is a USCG-licensed captain and a member of American Legion Post 179. Terry lives in Sausalito with his wife, Jennifer, who heads Marketing for VetsBoats. Between them they have two children serving in the military.
