Terry Moran
Terry Moran is an innovative executive leader, strategist, and advisor with extensive experience in mature growth, startup, and turnaround companies. His expertise spans decades in aerospace and defense, government contracting, product development, and technical services.
As the Executive Director of VetsBoats Foundation, Terry has spearheaded marine education and sail training programs for military veterans, successfully implementing boat restoration projects that foster community engagement and healing through teamwork.
Terry emigrated to America with his parents from Ireland and grew up aboard boats in Sausalito, California. He graduated from the Naval Academy's Class of 1988 and served as a naval aviator and aeronautical engineering duty officer in his 28-year career. He flew over 1,000 hours in the F-14 Tomcat and finished his military service as commander of an MQ-9 unit in China Lake, California.
Following his military career, Terry has held significant management responsibilities in the aerospace industry. His diverse background combines leadership in both military and civilian sectors, providing him with a unique perspective on organizational management and strategic planning. Terry is also a USCG-licensed captain and a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. This maritime expertise complements his leadership role at VetsBoats Foundation, where he combines his passion for boating with his commitment to supporting fellow veterans.
